About me
I studied a degree in drama before embarking on a career in television. I quickly realised that my greatest passion was getting to the heart of a story and so began my journey into script writing. For the past twenty years I have written on shows including; Waterloo Road, Casualty, The Bay, Skins and Eastenders.
I was drawn to celebrancy following the loss of my father. I realised the importance of a sensitively written and well delivered ceremony and how it can help in the grieving process. The opportunity to help and support people during a difficult time is such an honour and one that I take seriously. Listening to your loved one’s life story and creating a ceremony to reflect their lives is a huge privilege and one that I promise to undertake with compassion and respect.
Aside from my love of writing I also enjoy public speaking and have acted in many plays and even dabbled in a bit of stand-up comedy.
I live in Crystal Palace with my husband and two teenage daughters. I’m a keen cook, avid reader and I love to travel. My favourite things are coffee, recipe books and eating with friends and family.
Why the Gingko?
Aside from having an aesthetically pleasing leaf, these ancient trees also hold deep symbolism.
Memory & Immortality: Planting a Gingko tree serves as long living tribute to a loved on, allowing their memory to live on forever.
Hope & Renewal: As a “living fossil” the Gingko symbolises that life continues despite great hardship.
Peace & Healing: Often planted near temples, the Gingko represents calmness and healing, allowing for serene reflection.
