A chance to reflect.…

A Memorial can be a very different, but equally important, way to celebrate or reflect upon the life of a loved one. Sometimes the funeral can feel so overwhelming due to the proximity of the passing and the decisions taken can feel rushed. There can be enormous benefits from having a memorial as the feelings are less raw and the ability to celebrate a life can feel more achievable.

Being able to choose a particular day can add extra significance - perhaps on a birthday, wedding anniversary of the anniversary of their passing. There is also a lot more flexibility when deciding on a suitable venue. Where would you like to remember your loved one? A garden, a park, a favourite pub, your family home?

There are no legal requirements, so the options are endless with time, theme, location and style. Did your loved one like the colour red? If so, perhaps everyone could wear a red item of clothing? Did they love a particular country, if so, perhaps the theme could centre around that music, cuisine and the colours of the flag?

Memorials can also include beautiful personal touches such as; planting a tree, plaque installations, candle lighting, photo tributes, charitable donations, live music tributes, the sharing of a favourite meal. There is so much freedom and opportunity for creativity and I would love to work with you to build a fitting and bespoke ceremony.
